Hey guys! I just bought a sled. Im 29 and this is my first so I dont no much about them. I bought a 1989 yamaha exciter 570. Its in very nice condition and has 5214 miles on it. Anyhow under the hood Is a oil tank, not the 2 stroke oil tank, but a bigger tank and the lid on it says oil. What kind should I put in it? What kind of oil Is this? Is it gear oil or something? Thanks!

Im pretty sure you are looking at the 2-stroke oil tank. The whitish transparent one sandwiched between the cyliners and the pipe right? The only other place to put oil is in the chaincase, but it is neither huge nor marked "oil" on it.jbladedx said:
Well vmaxxer ur right i am looking at the oil injecter tank. I thought It was some other kind of oil. There Is also another tank which was confusing me, it was the coolant overflow tank, which I thought was the 2 stroke tank!! Woops I put about half a quart of 2 stroke in there!! Will this hurt anything?? Should I drain it out? Geez I feel stupid!! What kind of antifreeze should I use, I'll prob drain it and add new??

If you flushed cooling system make sure you dont have an air pocket.
