Stihl vs husqvara chainsaws

Hi guys
wondering what you guys recommend. I am looking to buy a professional saw to use in my excavation business and at home. I cut about 6-10 cord of wood a year to burn. I am looking at both the 260 pro and a 346xp. I like the idea of a light weight saw so I can cut for extended periods of time. Does anyone have either of these? I have a couple older mcculloch pro 10-10's one is 57cc. I would also like to know about stihl's 361 and huskys 357. What do you think? What is a better saw?
 
Stihl all the way!!!!!!! I own a Stihl trimmer, farm boss chain saw and backpack blower and wouldnt give em up for a husky and yes I did test them both out before buying them.
 
I haven't run either of these saws.......thanks for the input. I guess I am going to try to find some to demo or something.
 
i used to work on stihl saws and there a good saw dont know much about huskys tho. the 361 is a good saw.are you going to limb and cut with it? its a bit much for a limber, how big of trees are you cutting down?

dude when it comes to chain saws go husky you won't be disapointed, i bought my 61 in 86 and all i had to do was replace the chain brake handle because it fell off the sled on me. i change the plug and filter every 3 years and ajust the carb as needed.i burn about 6 cord of firewood a year and thats not counting buddys coming and burrowing it all the time. hell one year we used it for cutting ice. for me husqvara al the way ;)!
 
The biggest trees I will be cutting are about 20" Normally about 12" Most of my wood is felled and brought to me. But I do drop 30-50 trees a year excavating. I do like the idea of a lighter saw than a heavy one that I have to lug around!

i know its your money but i would buy a husky, 15 or 20 years from now you could be telling some one ( back in 2010 i bought a husky and it's still running) lol.jonson red is a good saw as well.
 
go to the husky man. the 346xp is a nice saw. you will def be pleased. Husky is the yamaha of chainsaws.haha
 
Just pick the one you want. They are quality tools. My dad has a husky that he's used for years. I've got a Stihl. He recently bought a new husky and prefers his old one. Doesn't feel that the newer one is as good a saw. I've got a 310. Had an 031 forever, and finally bought a new one.
 
My family has been in the logging buisness for generations and have bought nothing but husky's. Just bought the 350xp last year and its unreal. Jonsereds are basically a husky too. Like a gmc/chevy.
 
HUSKY - bought the first one 22 years ago and until som low life stole it about 7 yrs ago I think I had it tuned once & always started 1 or 2 pulls veven if I did not use it for 6 mos. Had to cut about 60 trees to clear land for trailer and bought one & a pole pruner. I think its a 364??? with 20" bar. It's unstoppable. Pole is the single most useful tool I have. It will cut anything from shrubs to 12" dia branches. Can't imagine using anything but a Husky. ;)!
