first make sure youre getting all the power to the ground with good clutching, then porting is the next best bang for buck

x2 you need to be able to hook up. still struggling with that part myself but after tommorow i should have any problems.

They have different heads (slightly higher compression) and port timing plus a higher wattage magneto.

If I remember right AMSNOW dynoed the 2000 and newer SRX at 142 and the older 98-99 models were in the low/mid 130's.

ok. well, you know you could just get the sled ported. one of the best bangs for the buck on a srx. i do srx porting too....

How many HP can really be gained by porting...Who does trusted porting? My big brother has a 02' MXZX 800 with twin speedwerx pipes and good clutching, I want to beat him on the trail and the lakes but I'm in stock form right now besides 144 picks, a ripsaw, bender silencer and reed spacers.
