Maybe they are not the friends you think they are. The older you get the more you will realize just who your real friends are.

Zachalyse you got that right, what about the friend who will never lead but when there is an open lake or trail will be the first one coming up and trying to pass or race you.

I like to always let fellow riders know in case of a breakdown, - " A friend in need is no friend of mine".

Yup, had the same experience many times in the past. I helped a "good friend" all spring and summer with replacing the heating season in his house, new bathroom, lots of electrical work, and on and on and on. First sledding trip he took, he arranged a trip with several other people but did not let me know. Claimed to not know I was into sledding, What the heck? 5 sleds in may garage which he has seen. From then on, I use all the time I have to help my three sons with thier homes, cars etc. and ONLY sled with my kids.

Ottawa, you would actually leave a fellow rider stranded if he broke down?? Wow, that is pretty harsh. I have done thousands of miles riding alone and everytime I have come across another rider in trouble I have helped him out to at least getting him to a safe place. I have ridden with groups of people who i did not know all that well and have always had the attitude that if one person in the group had a problem with their sled we all had a problem. Even with breakdowns we always stuck together and had great trips.

If you need someone to go riding with contact me looking for people to ride with need to go north one more time. Maybe we could get a group together and go.
I call em "sleeding snobs". Around here there are a few groups that are real clicky. I also call them the "cool guys". Will only ride with certain people and at certain locations.
I think some of it has to do with their own insicurities with the type of people they ride with. I have friends that are fast riders and some that are average riders. Some of the fast riders tend to think they are to good for the average riders. I ride and can stay with any of them but I'm not to good to ride with my friends that don't always want to run WOT. After all, aside form the sled and how they drive, they are still my friends.
"I'm too cool and fast for you riders" Suck. And I've seen plenty of them. I love coming onto these guys from behind and passing them with one hand on the throttle and the other on my knee. Gotta believe it sets them down a notch.

I was just kidding, We wouldn't leave anybody behind, friend or stranger. You guys must have some past issues to take that to heart so much. lol. I carry 2 seperate straps with me, one just for my buds Doo, & one for all others, long story behind the doo rope.

I don't think that I am a snob...I think that my friends are jealous of me...I have 2 sleds, a VIPER and a V-max which are nicer then theirs to be honest..One of the guys who went broke his sled and went up their to RENT 1 for about $400 for the weekend he could of rode my V-max if they would of let me know...O well I took the Ol Lady out last night for a ride and dumped us off in the park WHOOPS And heading to a water park for the night..But I'd rather be up north blasting through the trails!!

Hey....sup dog
Kick em to the side of the road.
Their probabally tired of being spanked by either of those sleds. Especially the VIPER.

Been there dealt with that many times. Only time I left someone , and that was at the hotel, after towing him 5 miles, Was when they knowingly bring a sled that is not in good working order.
Just this season had a fellow rider that I rode with many time's, Stay behind in the bar while I went out solo to rescue another from our group that had ran out of fuel.... Now I dont invite him anymore, It's funny cause he was that same guy that can't lead but always jumps in front of others when we get to a fresh trail or boondocking spot.
