My SXR is missing limiter straps. I want to know if there's a risk of anything getting damaged because of this. So, is there?

DO NOT RUN WITHOUT LIMITER STRAPS!!!!!! it problably will cause the rails to catch on the track, along with hurting/bending other parts of teh suspension.

You'll burn through slides very quickly too, my co workers sled burned up a set in a few hundred miles in fairly good snow when he took his straps off.

Ok, been running without limiter straps for a while but I guess I'll make some straps tight enough to prevent the shock from overextending, though I doubt Ohlins 46's would do that, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Went to my local Yamaha dealer to find out how much a pair of limiter straps cost; about $125. I ain't buyin them.

Anyone have the measurements for the straps? Lenght, holes etc.

$125 for god damn limiter straps ROFLMFAO..................You could probobly order them from North America and they would be cheaper. lol..

Thats just stupid. Place a want ad here. Its slow this time of year but get with viperking or one of the regulars and im sure they got a set for cheap. And dont run your skid next year without. I'd go through your skid when you pull it to put the new ones in. Im sure your bushings and such are shot!!! It will be a fun summer project. Post pack for any further help. CCC
