Saw a stock f7 run 112mph in 1000', beat the next fastest sled by 14 mph in stock 700 class.

I have an 01 srx 700. When I run on snow, it seems it pulls 110 on the dream-o-meter pretty fast, i'd say in just about 1/4 mile. Clutching is stock primary spring, loaded 8dn-20's, red secondary spring at 90 wrap, and 52/46 helix. Going to be running 144 chisel picks.

Do you think that would be capable of running 115-118 mph in 1000'? What kind of set-up would I need to run those kinds of speeds or faster? Going to have my 140lb brother driving.

I ran 118 on speedo last year on the river basically on pure ice and no studs. If I would of jetted down, because it was plus 8 C that day..would of for sure buried the speedo.I was running super rich that day.I had 8dn-20's loaded and 51/43 helix green at 70.

now!! depends on your temps out and your jetting also.Need to test..test..test.There is no instant answer to that.Need your rpm's at launch and wot on ice.

i'm not going to be running until next winter, but was going to check and see what people have ran with good results. I am going to start testing early as I can. That would be cool to test out a few sets of different weights, springs etc. can post back results. We will have to keep in touch blue

Honestly, you aren't going to see anywhere near 115 in 1000ft with a stock trail sled. That's getting into improved 700 speeds. That Firekitty probably had its ecu re-flashed to run race-sled timing. I have seen and know some guys that have done that. Makes them real fast.

I had my SRX up too 115mph on the Dream-O-meter today with 8BU-00 with 4.5 tip .8 inner with a Hauck Orange primary 50-38 Dalton helix, silver spring @ 80 wrap, 21/40 gearing 1.25 track and +3 outside this was at about the 2000ft mark or more and I ran out of room but was still pulling when let off

If you have a really well set up sled with Ice picks, a speed track and the sled slammed to the ground you might see between 110 and 115 but you aren't going to do it your first time out unless you get extremely lucky, You will have to do some testing with all clutch components and your carb jetting to get the best set up for your sled and that can change on the weather also Temp, Baro. Pressure, Humidity you will have to be a darn good tuner to get those speeds

TELL YA GUYS THE STOCK SRX SPEEDO ARE OFF BY A MILE. TELL YA NOW SUBTRAC 10 MPH FROM WHAT ITS SHOWING. MAYBE EVEN 12. 3:16 (yammie tony)

my speedo was off about 6 mph when I was using a radar gun..I was hitting 106 mph on speedo..the gun showed 100 mph.Maybe it gets worse at higher speed.I will find out next season.

spinner..get an SXR700..pipe it...stud it ..port it and then try.It is a little lighter then the SRX ....you might have a chance to hit that speed..if jetted correctly and clutched right and a 98 lb rider on it....lol.Add a little :nos:

that is way to much off Tony..better fix your speedo there.Bend the needle back then and you won't need the gun anymore.LOL.You just spoiled a lot of guys dreams now telling them they are off 10 mph. :o|

my speedo shows 109 when i am going 105 GPS. i guess either A.) that kitty is cheating, or B.) That guy really knows his shit

2 stock srx trail sleds at our local 1000' runs this year both ran high 90s. they were the only trail sleds that day in the 90s at all. it was 40 degrees and the ice was soft and mealy (is that even a word?) and there was a strong crosswind. horrible conditions. but our local dealer went 148 with his turbo rx1. at a different event the same morning he broke the state record at 152
