my buddies zr 800 is fast, but i think i can hang with him on the lake....he says theres no chance....any input? my sled is an 01 srx 700 stock

you should win easily I would think. I had a buddy with a zr900 and he hated it, said it was a dog compared to his t-cat. He now has an srx700, bone stock and gps'ed at 112mph on the lake. I wouldnt be scared if I were you. He says the srx is faster out the hole than his t-cat but the t-cat had longer legs. He hardly mentions the zr anymore.
couple minor adjustments to your clutching and he should see your tail lights

My stock Viper can beat my buddies ZR800, so your SRX should be an easy win.

my buddys zr800 01 hangs till around 90 then no chance at all
ZR800s are no competition for a SRX 700 that is running properly...an F8 can be more of a challenge.
No challenge at all. Me and my buddy both smoked the same ZR 800 this year on our SRX's. 01 and 02 SRX's and I think the ZR was an 02. 05 F7 smoked us all. LoL..

my sx 700 i had use to run ahead of them its easier to let him try and catch you then you catch him gear down and shift it hard and you will go fast
i raced a 1200 4stroked ski doo and smoked it start to finnish clutch piped and 1.25 track hot rods bender cold kit on ittobring them on ac pol ski doo

all them cat guys blowin smoke they have no clue on the yami side, allso most of those cat f7s are not stock, they tweak the timing in the cdi and raised comp .

x47 my best friend rides a 01 zr8, once i got my clutching right he stood no chance start to finish and i outweigh him by 40-50lbs. the dyno numbers i've seen on zr8s were only in the high 130s, not very impressive for 100 more ccs. but i'm sure there's room there for improvement with porting
i think i have a good chance...gonna have to wait till next year...but im gonna put a shot in her....
any ideas on type of nitrous? im thinking just a 10 shot

u do not need nos on that sled 2 beat these sleds just do some home work on these for clutching like the guys are saying and ur buddy will eat ur snow flap all day long. the older cats up till and including 08 are no more on the hp rating or even in some cases less than the srx. the srx will take that sled out of the gate every time and if ur doing ur home work on the clutch end of it he will be at the back all the time period . AL
