Just thought I'd throw this out there, in case any of you were interested. I am not sure the distance we were running.....we'll just call it far....very far. We had a decent tail wind also, and the ice is dialed.

My pump gas, trail 780 ran 142.5 mph today......yes, I threw a speed track on it, tucked it down a bit, and changed skis.

Bender trail ported SRX 700 - trail track, etc. - 128.7 mph.

XCR800 - pump gas, HTG pipes, HTG heads, shimmed cylinders, case porting, bored carbs, speed track, lowered - 139.xx mph.

XC600 - speed track, lowered - 118.xx mph.

XCR800, HTG pipes, heads, cylinder shim - 126.xx mph.

MXZ800 - mods??? - speed track, lowered - 122 mph.

There were others, but I am not too sure on the speeds.

LMAO: Valin...I love that trail sled of yours! Thats my kind of sled!
Not suprised the XCRs put up decent numbers...A well set up Improved stock XCR 800 tripple was always a worthy challenger for my VMAX4s.

very impresive on that bender ported srx wtf you guys running grass lol were is all the snow/ice up there in sudbury

Sorry, Norm....I didn't want to post without knowing the proper speed. That sled of yours is working nicely.

Formula III Improved 700 race sled.......146.7 mph.

I do have to add this.............mine was the fastest pump gas sled there today, weighing in at a mere 604 lbs :)

valin, what distance? 1000'? do you have any recommendations for ice radar runs for a stock 01 srx 700 as far as clutching goes? shoot me a PM if you don't want it posted, i understand, just want to run good here at some local ones.

Man, I can't believe you guys still have ice up there. That is crazy. Calling for 21 degrees Celsius (70 F) here by friday with sun.....

Big change in conditions yesterday. We went to the South end of the lake to do some running, and it was pretty mushy down there. It's amazing the difference in conditions from one end to the other.

I only ran 131.7 mph.

Bender trail ported SRX trail setup - 119.x mph
XFire 1000 - y pipe, possibly single pipe also - 121.x mph
F7 - speed track, dunno what else - 121.x mph (it ran 128 in 2000' previously this year)
MCXpress Turbo Apex - 121" trail setup - 115.x - it had big issues
MCXpress Turbo Nytro - 144" trail setup - 134.x
Mach Z 800 race sled - 127.7 mph
Cat Z1 turbo with full hijacker setup - 125.x mph
MCXpress Turbo Apex - 121" trail setup - 135.x mph
Thundercat 1000 race sled on low rpm pipes - 129.9

Yep, Kevin Mossip's truck. It produces 1001 ft. lbs. of torque, actually.

"only"..... most of us wish we only ran that
is that your trail sled in the third pic?

Yes, that is my trail sled. 181hp on pump fuel. Mind you, it is lowered as much as I could using the stock ohlins up front, and the rear skid was adjusted accordingly. I couldn't quite get it as low as I wanted, so I threw on the prostock skis because the mounts are lower in them, which brought me down an additional inch. I was also running a speed track and 96 ice pics.

Which one, the white duramax? What's done to it?

Yes, the white Duramax. I am not sure what Kevin has into his truck, but it's pretty fast at the bracket races in the summertime.

here in fredericton new brunswick only an hour drive and there is still 4 or 5 feet of snow we put on 300 kilos sat going up this weekand weather permiting
