Is that Danny Friel's Mach? Can't remember what year his is, I just remember it's not quite stock.

That was not Dan's Mach Z. That Mach Z is owned by Barry Hirtle. It is a race ported 800 Improver, running Jaws pipes. I don't know much more about the setup.
Dan's Mach Z was not stock, but didn't have very much done. For a while, he used to run Dynoport trail pipes, bored carbs, a cylinder shim plate to raise the port timing, and aftermarket heads. Then, for last season, he had Don Emery (DNE Performance) trail port his cylinders. He sold both of his Mach Z's, and now just runs an MXZ800, and he was running in the low 120's with it on Saturday. It is basically stock, but he threw on a speed track for the day. Not bad at all for a 130-135hp sled at stock ride height.

I haven't talked to Danny for a couple years since he took a posting at Podolsky. Good to see he's still sledding, although I'm more of a Mach fan, apparently an MXZ can move too.
