Been off the snow for 4 years

So 4 years ago, I wrecked my custom 944 mountain max and my knee and have not been back on the mountain since. Knee is fixed and looking to fix the sled this summer with funds from selling excess 2 stroke parts.

So, has everyone switched to 4 strokes or is their still die hard 2 strokes fans?

Keep in mind, I have not even looked at a sled in 4 years.. for all I know, everyone is riding hover sleds. Or their so light now that no amount of aluminum can make my MM keep up?

Man, I feel out of touch....

Welcome back steve!!! Theirs lots of 2 stroke guys left, thats pretty much all you will find here. TY has a 4 stoke side if your looking to see what thats about or learn about them as i do. Do a search and you can pretty much find anything you need or just ask. Its the slow time around here so it may take a bit to get your answer but you will find it. CCC
 
I'm running a 4 stroke 07 Apex Mountain and love the thing, but I'm still a die hard 2 stroke fan. Nothing like riding my 05 Viper Mtn with Speedwerx pipes, that things rips. Then I still have my 97 SX 700, still a blast!!

NO way! thats how I ended up with the 944! Those were the most expensive DVD's I ever bought.

Good to know the still people riding the 2 strokes. Looking forward to next winter.

Welcome back to sledding Steve. There are lots of us with 2 strokes left. I actually have both a 2 and 4 stroker, but I just love my Mnt Viper!


Now get that long tracker fixed back up and ready for next winter!!!!!

Congrats!

congrats on your return, you will find that most people (mountain segment) :bash: have stayed with the two stroke side of things, unless you add boost into the equation, then prolly 50/50 two stroke to four stroke. The newer two stroke mountain sleds are very impressive for power and deep snow-ability. its too bad we (yamaha loyalist) dont have a stock 835ish tripple two stroke deep snow sled with 155-162ish track and an a-arm front end.... if you dont have a bunch of money to spend, its hard to be competitive in the trees with a four stroke. :2strokes:
