if it was black, it might have been faster ![Smile :) :)](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/smile.png)
It does look great in red though.

Just bought one and hope to get it before Christmas. I am tired of having deal with the crappy bushing Yamaha has in it's primary cover. I have changed it 3 times in the last 5years with no one being able to explain why. Last year found it sitting in the bellypan after a full days ride. POS! Everything else in the primary is in excellent shape and like i said even had my dealer go over the primary when i brought it in last year to press a new bushing into the cover.

Actually I have the red 911 cover. I bought it new from Duane Watt back when my '97 600SX was about a year or so old. Mine is recessed to run the shorter pre 2000 YXR springs with an aluminum spacer or leave the spacer out and you can run the current YXR springs. It doesn't look by the photo that the Bender one has any larger bushing either but the 911 does. There is a sleeve you slide over the clutch shaft to make it a larger diameter for the 911's larger cover bushing. I'll try and ad a photo of it here.
I have never used it on my Viper because I forgot I had it. I found it recently laying at the bottom of my toolbox in our shop. I took it off when I traded the sled off. I might try it this winter on the Viper.

Here's the 911 cover and sleeve. Notice the larger bushing diameter. I cannot say anything bad about it. My old '97 600SX was dialed. I had everything done to it that was in Chris Vincent's race sled passed on to me by Jim Kedinger from Yamaha. That thing was a real sleeper.

would this be a good fix if the fixed shaft on my clutch is showing corrosion? and shows grooves worn into my fiber bushing?journeyman said:Here's the 911 cover and sleeve. i figure the sleeeve goes over my problem shaft and it should be good to go...
does the clutch have to be balanced when adding this cover to it ?
