Anyone know where i can buy drive shaft bearings ? rebuilding my sled and Royal Distrubuting are on back order and wont be able to see those till winter. Dont want to start putting everything together till i get these bearings. So other then royal, where else can i pick them up ?

Get OEM. The jackshaft and driveshaft bearings that you get at royal don't hold up as well, and the set screws are terrible. I've spun a number of them.

I have used the Royal ones in the past but the last ones I bought I got from Canadian Bearing, they are NTN and seem to be as good as the OEM ones as far as longevity and fit.

yamasquaw, is that the all balls bearings? because thats what Royal sells. And Valin, isnt the oem bearings crazy expensive ?

That is why we love yamaha. Because they use the best parts & last so long. You start using cheaper brand parts & you might as well get yourself an arctic-cat or something.

I have been running the bearings from Royal and must say they are holding up. You have to make sure you tighten the set screws good..even use blue loctite and forget about it.I repack my bearings every seasons start and don't replace them as long as they are working.

All of the bearings I've always payed an arm and a leg for from the dealer are the same NTN bearings that I pay half the price for from royal or anyone else. Its a jackshaft bearing, they all will fail and they all need to be replaced. If it were a crank bearing I would say definitely go OEM which is a koyo but for a jackshaft just go with whatever you can find.

I put an all balls racing bearing and seal kit in the rear diff of a buddies honda fourtrax. Probably the best aftermarket kit I've seen and the seals were better then the Honda seals. Go figure.

bolin22, Do you get them from oem, or after market. Whats your price. im looking to get all jackshaft and the driveshaft.

you're in Sudbury, there must be a bearing shop near you that you can take your old bearings and they can get you good quality NTN for less then half the price. don't think for a minute that the OEM bearing will last any longer. like most do on here you need to repack at the beginning of every season thand they will last for a lonmg time. besides the stupid torx set screws will cost you an arm and a leg alone for the driveshaft because they are sold separately.
