viper suspension

you can drop a tooth from the stock 9 tooth to a 8 tooth if you plan on running any track with a lug of 1.25 or higher. thats what im doing. Im going to run a 2 inch paddle track. also, if this is your first viper, make sure to install a rear heat exchanger as they do not come with one stock. Your sled will thank you for that.

it will simplify your install if you have the mounting point dimensions from the donor sled. you will need center of drive shaft to center of front arm mount, center of front arm mount to center of rear arm mount. also dimensions from the top of the tunnel to the aforementioned locations. be prepared to drill new holes in your tunnel for the mounts, as well as adding tunnel stiffener brackets. didnt the revs run a 16" wide track? you may need to cut the pivot points down, or even add spacers to fit your tunnel, as well as fabricating rear drop brackets.

i rode my viper all year last yeaR nd never had a problem with it overheating or anything.

You werent pulling around a 136" track last yr either. Its cheap and easy insurance/ protection for your engine. I bought a 02 last yr and and wouldnt think of riding till i got one one. Overheating is well documented here. You can use a SRX cooler or buy one for a viper. Should be able to get on cheap used as we get closer to the season. It takes about an hour to install.
