Dyno time

UNLESS THINGS HAVE CHANGED, (which they probley have), DON IS CORRECT. BLUEPRINT AND MATCH WAS LEGAL , THATS WHAT I DID TO MINE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

just curious but my 09-10 isr book says "blueprinting of engines not allowed. no removal of any material whatsoever will be allowed. this is to include polishing, port matching, deburring, glass or sand blasting surfaces or material removal for the purpose of engine blancing or other reasons."

this is under ice and snow drag racing stock rules.

This is what I read also but like Don said it can go unnotice in our race events :letitsnow

If you "can see it", to tell its been corrected the guy doing the engine to the specs didnt do it right. This is why these "stock" engines cost more then race engines do in improved class where your allowed mods. Its very time consuming, and tedious work.
If your checking the engine against a set of specs, wouldnt you want to be at the advantagious side of the specs?,as the guy your racing surely is.
Every single "stock" sled at any big race is a blueprint stocker,I will guarantee it, haydays, world series of ice, etc. how do you think they get them to go so fast in stock class? they are taking the sleds right to the rulebook specs, not only engine, but chassis and entire drivetrain. ISR stock and what most people consider show room stock are about a football field away from each other. I am not here telling everyone its the right thing to do, or condoning cheating I am merely telling you its what your "checked","teched" against.
Any sport with a "stock" class, has all been thru this, bikes, cars, etc. all are taken to the specs they are checked against in any serious racing, backyard racing likely not as important. If your checking the sled against "these set of specs",if you were not allowed to do anything, why bother check it to specs?

DON,T BET THE RANCH IT WILL BE UNOTICED. LIKE DON POSTED WHEN ONE SLED IS FOOTBALL FIELDS AHEAD OF EVERYBODY ELSE, YOU KNOW SOMETHINGS UP. LIKE I SAID , I DID THIS TO MY SRX AND SAW A HUGE GAIN ON THE ICE THIS PAST YEAR, NOW I,LL SEE SOON WHAT THE DYNO SHOWS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

im not trying to argue im just saying, i could tell people im stock and if they cant see my porting, to them im stock unless i win and someone says they think im cheating.

it just depends on what level of race you are at! some do basically no tech inspection some do alot but only the big time will have you tear your motor down if they suspect you are cheating.

exactly right , it all depends on how serious you are at racing. If your racing at national events and/or for world records, youll have a isr legal engine, because you have alot invested money wise and your not there to win a trophy. The engines are built to conform to the specs they are checked against, nothing more. Backyard stuff it doesnt really matter.

Tony, as for not seeing it, I have yet not to have one pass tech and I wont print names in respect to the owners but 3 world records and numerous haydays winners use blueprinted stuff, all of them have been tore down multiple times from tech officials, as they should be after winning. It kinda makes you think about how powerfull the little 700 is as 150ish hp from a stock legal engine is pretty respectable for only 700! :2strokes:

madzx2, I didnt take your points as arguing, just explaining it the best I can. ;)!

race on guys, have fun, thats what its all about..

I think this horse is about dead.
