Is a 1997 yamaha sx, looks in good shape. with 6000Km (not sure what that would be in miles) with v force power reeds be a good price for 2000$ ? I heard these sleds seem to be real fast when well set up and id like to build a good fast trail sled. What would be a good price?

3600 miles that would be about...and to me the price does seem a little high unless it's mint, but even then idk about it...we have one with about that many miles, stretched to a 136" and we were thinking about selling it for $1500

Thats was an idea i had, to stretch it to 136" what kind of shape is yours in? how far is North Dokata from Ontario ?

Picked up a 97 sx 700 this last fall for $1750. But......the guy just had a Yamaha dealer go through the entire sled. Replaced pretty much all the bearings on the skid, new shock and a TON of other little stuff. The bill came to @ $2000 . He was getting rid of all his toys. O yea... my also came with a "Bender racing power shift clutch kit" ...ck9770 and a bender can(which I took off because it was a bit loud).
Yes...$2000 seems a hooch high. But way cheaper than new. And yes....they can FLY if set up well.

Well i have a SRX 700, and im rebuilding that but id like to have the sx to race or trail ride havent desided yet. Its hard to win with the sx when you have SRX's and other 700s that go 120 almost stock.

Sold my 97 last year for $2500 with 9000kms. It had Viper shocks and skis, clutching, newer track, new rings, newer bushings and shims in the skid and the list goes on.
Sleds on this side of the border are generally higher in price.

the sled is worth what ever u are wiling 2 pay, ur buying reliability and fuel milleage its not about how fast it goes its about how long will it last, some other brand might go faster but u will finish the race and the other 3 can come in on the sliegh or buy rope a dope. of coarse when asking 2000 they should be in good shape. then they are worth it. AL

I had one and loved it..Wished I'd never gotten rid of it. That sled is good stock or can be made great with upgrades...$2k is maybe alittle high for me, but I might pay it for the right one because I liked mine so much. And hey if you like it go for it!
