hey guys i have a 2000 yamaha vmax 500 and i replaced my weights in the primary clutch because they had flat marks worn into them any ideas? still engages hard

did you do anything with the bushings, rollers and or spring?

when you say to check the bushings do you mean in between the pins that hold the weights in and whe checking the rollersjust make them spin freely

that would be a good start, but dont forget that the rollers and the weights both are bushed where the pins they ride on go through. prone to wear, especially that sled.
i would also blow out/clean the cover/slide bushings as they get clutch dust in them as well.
