agreed, but there have been noise level restrictions on public roads long before restricitions showed up on the trail. Gotta ticket for open headers in my first Cuda in '84.

I think folks are griping about the selective enforcement... and rightfully so, IMHO.

try taking the muffler off your car and see how long it is before you get pulled over. if you'r on a harley, the cops just look the other way. it is still an excessive noise/altered exhaust violation. they are easy lazy or wimps.

Before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, i was joking on the last one. i wouldn't want to do what cops do for the pay and the risk. now, as far as my friends that i know that are cops, the last sentence would apply. LOL

I'm leaving the can on when racing my buddies on the test track but when going out for weekend drags for bragging rights and money I'm putting the stock back on, you just can't beat the sound of the triple triple especially the SRX or the V-Max 4

Hey Thumper - Is your avatar showing a young race car driver practicing his shifting 17 years to early ???? or do I see a rock star practicing his air guitar tapping to the beat??? I think we might need to poll the Yamaha faithful. ---Mac---
