Viper Power Valve

Been cleaning power valves for two days. Got lazy on the the last one and decided to get the dremel out. After one pass on the radius of one side I new that was a mistake. Can I just polish the mark or should I just replace it.

Mr. Sled the mark on the power valve is about .0001" in depth and .090" wide I can't take a picture. what do you think.
