Good deal? VMAX

i sure will, i just lined up a 6x12 trailer just waiting for the seller to write me back to see if he will hold it till friday.

well it is my old neighbors, just to get it home, having trouble finding a truck or suv till monday so maybe i can postpone till after the weekend, but the same neighbor hasnt put his old house up on the market yet so i could even keep my sled across the street through the winter

looks like im all set to go pick up the sled on friday after work!!!! too bad i work the weekend and then monday-friday after the weekend:( i wanna spend some quality time with my new purchase!

will be considerably lighter then the 97 you looked at. the 500 is a twin with no reverse or electric start.

i think they are even lighter then the 94-96 vmax 500's that had the pogo stick front end

You will be fine. If the trailer has rails the back end will hang off a bid but just strap it down real good. Thats what i started off with and it worked fine. CCC

well its 8 long seems long enough to hold it with the gate up, i am more conserned about the width is 4 ft wide enough?

Always willing to lend a cheer. LOL. Let us know when you get it. Its been quite an adventure for you. You will be happy with a yamaha that i can say for sure. If it has a back gate bring some tools with you as you will probably have to remove the skis to make it fit unless you can hang the skis over the ft. ;)! :letitsnow CCC

ya ill bring one of my little tool boxes but the trailer doeesnt have sides just frame rails so i think the skis can drape off the front of the trailer.

It has been an adventure but Im glad i went through it.

Cleaned up my garage today, nice and swept, ready for a sled!!!!

looks pretty good!

just throw vmaxjhons clutching in there and it will be a little corner to corner sled. heck, on that one it only needs the rivits, new clutch spring, engagement shims and the helix. i had it on my 500 sxr and it rocked!!

yea find a seat and work on the clutching. a simple helix change will make that sled move much better then stock.

if you have extra cash left over go 96 down the middle.

Drop the mains to 150 from 151.3 They run pig rich from the factory and my 94 500 got s little better mileage and ran a little stronger up top.
