97 sx 700

We need a bit more info on the sled. Is it stock, pipes,? You can also check in the "TY Tech" section under "Snowmobile Tech". You will find many diff setups that members have used. I used a fixed primary sheave from a Viper to wake my old 97 700. This gave me a gain of about 300rpm and needed to add more tip weight to get the rpms back down. Make sure the engine is well tuned before tuning your clutches. My 97 needed plug caps and a stator as a tune up. You can also gear down one tooth to get a little more get up and go

it's all stock and i did have a look under the tech but didn't notice anything on what spring to run..looks like run a 2.4 in the first and last holes of the clutch weights.

Found two setups in the Tech area. Both where similar. I also used this helix I kept the head gasket, gearing and jetting stock. I think I had 4.5 in each hole to keep the rpm at 8200. With the helix, sheave and weight adjustments it would turn 105 mph on the Dream-meter.

51/43 Helix, stock weights w/4.5g rivet in 1st hole and 3.1g in tip, 2-3 engagement shims, stock springs, 1 or 2 layers removed from head gasket and 22/40 gearing. Jetting: 142.5 mains
