traditional studs in "ice attak" track

What do you guys think about studding the pre-studded ice tech tracks? They are single ply tracks so they would need something like the BRP phantom stud? Im ready to put another new track and studs on my sled because i need some more traction for radar runs but if i could cancel that out and just put 96 1.075"
studs in my ice attak id be able to save a few bucks. I need a deffinate answer.

I think your throwing good money away to salvage an old project gone bad.
When you purchased your track the single ply idea all studded sounded good.

Company info: "Single-ply construction technology is utilized on the ICE Attak to reduce internal friction and resulting heat build-up. This results in a thinner, slightly lighter weight track with reduced rolling resistance for more efficient power transfer."

Sell the track on E-bay.
Here is another guys story from another site.
"These one ply tracks are garbage in my opinion with little over 1000 miles on. I installed some regular woody's and some of the phatom studs. I had 4 regular woody's and 1 phatom stud so far start to rip through into the inside of track. All were ripping on the inside, meaning caused by side ways slides into corners or braking coming in side ways. The 4 buddies I ride with are running the normal 2 ply rip saw with the same stud pattern and have no issues. I hope i can make it thru this season. I will be running the normal 2 ply with different drivers next year."

I think you just about hit the nail on the head. I'll keep the ice attak as a spare track for my own or my buddies sleds in an emergency and go forward with the 144 hole pre-punched .725 Durasport with .875 Megabites. Or maybe Gold Diggers.....decisions decisions..
