Silencer mod, redhead triple

Does the silencer mod really provide any more hp? If so, where on the powerband and how much?

I couldn't tell the difference on mine but it was over the summer so i couldn't compare. Makes it sound nice though and no chance of tickets.

Have heard about 2-3hp gain. It's free, sounds good, and you won't LOSE HP.. May as well try it. I was going to do it to mine, but then found bender pipes for it instead.

Back when our 97 was fairly stock I did the head gasket peel, reed stopper notch, and can drill one evening. When it was done I over-rev'd pretty badly. That means that in combination with each other I'd made power. How much can't really say. I think that the common thought back in the day was that it was worth about 8 horse or so combined. No idea if that's accurate or not.
