pulled off cylinders and got coolant in case is there a drain plug for this or do i have to pull motor to drain. thanks gordy
the drain plug is located at the bottom front part of the motor near the bottom center.
next time, just take the pipes off, get you some zip lock bags to collect and re-use the coolant when it comes out the drain.

good idea thanks for the reply.
One method I have found that works for me when draining the coolant is to shut off the valve on the end of the coolant rail on the heads, take the hose off the rail on the right (mag) side making sure to squeeze the hose off so you don't lose all the coolant. Now assuming you have the exhaust off put a jug under the hole in the bellypan and run the hose into it,let the vise grips or whatever you used to pinch off the hose with go and it will drain the engine out in about 2 minutes.
It does take some amount of frigging to get the hose fed into the side of the bellypan but it will save a great amount of mess in the long run and the reason I use this particular hose is because it comes off the water pump housing low on the engine block so it will drain as much coolant as possible out of the block.

no, there is no drain on the block. The only way to get the coolant out without taking engine out is to place shop towels down inside and wick it out, just take your time and it will draw/wick it out into a new paper shop towel, then reoil the bearings thru the feed holes.
Sorry everybody,
To be more specific, there is not a designated drain bolt that the factory built.
I drained from the water pump and saved all my coolant.

I use a shop vac with a 3/8 fuel hos adapted to it to suck out the majority, then shop towels to wick the rest up as Mr.Viper stated.
