maybe that's because he loves his SX to death... as he's stated half a dozen times.

LOL 35 posts later and almost a YEAR later...... give it up guys way to bring up a almost year old threadJunior said:amen
he stated his opinion, alittle contructive criticism, and 35 posts later, people are still jumping on him.
all you guys that are asking him if he's ridden a 4-stroke, I have a question for you. have YOU ridden a rev? like it or not the rev is an incredible platform for the job it does, comparing an RX-1 to a rev is like comparing an FZ1 to a YZ250 not an appriopriate comparison at all.
that said your blind faith is funny to watch.

I have a 97 Polaris Ultra SPX 700 triple that feels like it weighs a ton and handling is not that great. It is fast but heavy and at the end of the day. I am sore. My 92 Indy Trail 488 fan cooled is a blast to ride. It's lightweight reliable and I run with 600 liquids when the trails get tight and twisty. My 94 VMAX 600 ST is kinda in the middle. Needs a suspension upgrade though. Yamaha does need a small lightweight affordable trail machine like the indy trail. From my experience lightweight on the twisties is king.

97 piped asked "When is yammie goin to get a new sled under 500lbs ??" I have also, been patiently waiting. Personally, I don't need (Over 40!) a 150hp 4 holer or even a 120hp. sled. Heck, I'd be Happy with a sled that has a 80-90hp 4 stroke, 130"plus skid, with reverse and No More than 500lbs dry and yes, it can be done. Todays sleds are Huge... height/width/lenght ! More power to Yamaha and those that enjoy the RX1's, Apex'es and such but, Yamaha's offerings are leaving many without any options.
