Hello guys looking for some help here...I bought a 136 '05 warrior skid and want to put it in my 600 VMAX, can I use the measurements from this install done buy CaptJager?

........................lts hard to see from you pics what lenght skid is in the sled, 121"?
lf so you will need to extend the tunnel and modifiy/move the rear heat exchanger, get another track etc.
The lug height of the track/type of track will have a bearing on where you put your skid as will different drivers.
The link on you post dosent work, dont panic if you cannot get a template, there are some measurements /dimentions you will need to get of the/a doner.
1, Distance and angle from drive shaft hole to front mounting point.
2, Distance and angle from front mounting point to rear mounting point.
You may find if you mix tracks/drivers the distance between the drive shaft and front (and therefore rear aswell) mounting point may change slighty , this hasnt been a problem for me in the past, however i belive its important to keep the angles close to stock as possible (and also the distance between front and rear mounting points), this will affect how the skid works.

Thanks for the response...Yes the sled is currently a 121 and I figured on stretching the tunnel and new track etc...But would I have to change my drivers on the drive axle? Or could I just use whats there? BTW I did email the guy I got the skid from to see if he could get me the measurements from the doner. I also posted some ?'s on the 4stroke section of the fourm to see if anyone could help me out with that. I also don't think I'll run more than a 1in track due to nature of how and where I ride....Any advice on the tunnel streching or heat exchanger relocate would be helpfull...As this is my first attempt at making a slightly modified sled...Thanks again!!!

my buddy put a 2 inch paddle in his v max and had to change drivers but you should b ok

You dont have to change the drivers, some people who put longer tracks on also want to run looser tracks (frees up Hp) and run extravert type drivers.
lf you are in touch with the skids PO try and get the driver diameter, also measure your driver diameter, that way you can figure out if the skid has to be mounted further back or closer to the drive shaft.
A popular way to get around the heat exchanger problem is to cut the bend out of it and weld it flat.
You can buy tunnel extentions online for around $150-$180, get a factory extention from any 136" vmaxs of that era, maybe other yammaha models?
The stock extention from a breakers/evilbay would give you a very 'factory' finish with a bit of paint.
