Im currently making my sled more off trail friendly and looking to install a 1.5" ripsaw track. I know i have to switch to 8 tooth drivers. does this effect the gearing at all? i also want to lower my gearing to be more snappy. whats the stock gearing and what gears should i get. when i play around with all this gearing, would i have to play with the clucthing to? and how hard is it to do the clutching, where to get all the weights, rivets etc. Please help me out. Thanks

Your gear ratio will be lower automatically with 8 tooth drivers, check out the chart on the viper section that Mac posted.Your stock gears may be a good place to start and it'll save you some money. You may have to add some weight in the clutch as the steeper gearing may make you overev some.Port Yamaha should have all the stuff you listed, plus there a site sponsor.

thanks alot
check the stock specs from the mtn sleds closest to your current sled for baseline clutching and gearing. i have the specs if needed. this theory has helped me greatly in the past. most of your clutch tuning questions are covered in the tech section.
