I know clutching comes up constantly on the forum but this year I am finally going to change the clutch as I hear it gives a fair amount of performance for the buck and would like to get some opinions on whats best.
I own a 2001 SRX and probably trail/lake ride 50/50 of the time on the sled. The sled is basically stock and since I will be tearing down to clean and prep everything for the upcoming season, I figured I would make some changes now.
This is listed on this site as a good trail/lake set up, would most agree or would anyone change anything? Please be specific on what you would change as I have only owned this sled 2 yrs but think its one of the greatest things I have ever owned...lol. Therefore I know every little about clutching.
48/42 Helix, 89a-10 weights w/2.4g rivets in inner hole, .8g rivet in the outer and stock springs.
I also plan on upping the gearing by one tooth to gain a little more top end speed.
What do you guys think? Do you see any problem with doing both?
