Got a new sled for my wife. a 99 Vmax 700. i have a 01 srx 700. i use the amsoil interceptor oil. would this be ok to use in the vmax or should i stick with the yamalube which it has always used....

Interceptor would be fine, but honestly the redheads are not picky when it comes to oil and some guys will run the cheapest thing they can find.I have ran about 10,000+ miles on mine mostly all amsoil hp injector with very good results plus its cheaper than the interceptor.Yamalube is ok, but nothing special and you can run plenty of other brands that are better for the same money or less.

ok, i guess my question was... would it matter since its whole life Yamalube was used. and now im maybe going to use the amsoil interceptor since thats what i use in my SRX. or should i just stick with the yamalube since thats all it has used.

Like Swede said there's nothing special about Yamalube, you're only paying more for it because of the name. A couple years ago I switched to Amsoil HP injector because the yamalube went up in price to with a couple bucks of it. But I know people like swede said run the cheapest they can find in their non-powervalved sleds.

Interceptor in that sled is an absolute great choice yes.
