Leak down test

Do any of you's do a leak down test on your engines?

For example... I own a banshee and peeps say i should do a leak down test after a rebuild and make sure it can hold 6psi over 6 minutes to ensure there are no leaks...

was wondering if any ones does that on their triple and if its possible and if so how much psi do you put in it..

do u still got the head that mr viper did for that snowmobile :dunno:
 
Mrviper only did 1 of the head sets I had which are on my srx... the other set I bought off x2ryder that was done by a dif company dont remember the name.


Those sold last week...

Ended up being shaved to 155lbs compression.

i though it was for sale 'it is the old bendersrx sled ?? ;)!
 
nah... only sold the extra heads I bought... i though they would come in handy having as extras...

Haha yea it sure is! love the sled... I think you helped him tune in the clutching eh?


I just need to do a top end on it... but going to split the engine and get everything checked over while im at it... just no funds to do so this year since I bought another atv and havent been able to sell my other one. If it sells atleast ill have the cash to get it done...

we did talk about clutching but i didnt really help him...great guy i'm wondering if he still alive ..... since he play with turbo i didnt really have a chance to talk with him
 
Yea he is def a great guy... well I talked to him end of the season asking how his runs on the rx1 went... still had some tinkering to do to it last I heard lol... but he survived this season on it haha...

ah ok... Bien quand mon srx va etre refait on devrais fair un tour. Je pense pas qui vas etre re monter cette saison mes On vas voire ... Tu sort tu pour des ride avec Concept carbon aussi des fois?

Dont mind the crappy spelling... Im horrible at writing french.. but can read n speak it n stuff no problem

we did go to dyno shit together last winter ...i will try to make some ride with him this winter ...yeah i think your sled was running a little lean ..just put piston and ring and fire up .............. :bump:
 
well I got mrviper to check out the piston wash and so on and said it wasnt running lean from what he daw over the pics... sait had some predetonation occuring in all 3 cylinders and odds where it got a bad tank of gas at one point or another...

I would slap in some new pistons n rings but only down fall is I need to get my cylinders re done... or atleast I know 100% 1 needs it... and the other 2 are pretty iffy

sucks didnt know it damage the cylinder :o|
 
yea its a pretty big bummer... but if you knew me you would be far from surprised hahah... im well known for having extremely bad luck with anything that runs on fuel...
 
hahaha one way to look at it blue... better be pushing atleast 145hp.. would be a whole lotta batteries!... dont think the srx needs any more weight either haha...
