I have a modded SXR with a Pro/X rear skid. Now going throught the front suspension to get it to sit up a bit higher and be able to soak up the bumbs better.
I have the option of getting Walker Evan with remote res. front shocks for Foxfloats. Which one would you put on...
Fox Floats take 6lbs off the front of sled
Walker Evans won't leak when it gets super cold...
I am torn....

Pushing snow is exactly why I am doing it.. I hit a huge rock that I couldn't see under the snow last year.. So I swapping bulkheads (Since the rock went right through it. You can get Fox Floats from a Phazer. You just need the bracket that mounts to the bulkhead on a SX... If you have a SXR you'll still see they all use same bulkhead, and you'll spot the tapped hole that the bracket bolts into.

Just a thought... when you run aftermarket skis, Viper or saddleless skis you lose clearance of about 1" to 1.5". If you switch to Viper trailing arms & spindles you gain about an 1" of that clearance back...
a good friend and riding buddy of mine got rid of all his Fox Floats in favor of the Walker Evans shocks because the Fox shocks fadded on him too often. However, he is an extremely aggresive rider that often rides rough woods trails with a lot of switchbacks.
Any truth to that swapping on spindles and trailing arms?? Anyone know if this is true?

<MILLS> another thing I have heard about the Walker Evans is a constant need to rebuild. Is your buddy having any issues??

That's what I've been told by a couple different people, one was Betheviper. As well as the camber & caster being different, the tubes on the viper arms are an inch longer on the bottom.
Yep the viper trailing arms are taller than the srx/sx ones. Easy way to gain a little height. A buddy of mine just cut the shock mounts off the trailing arms, flipped them over and welded them back on. That was good for an easy inch in or two.
He has pounded his Walker Evans shocks pretty hard and has sent them in for rebuild every two seasons.
The thing about the Viper spindles and skis is true.
