installing dcs on a 02 viper?

hey guys,

whats needed to put DCS on a 02 viper?

am thinking

- newer viper head with dcs sensor
- newer viper with dcs CDI
- newer viper gauge with dcs light

also, how could i wire this up to work on my 02 without putting a newer wiring harness from a dcs equipped sled on my 02?

Atleast..
Your going to need a 04 Viper and up viper S CDI box.

On the DCS viper, I think the sensor might plug into the head but could be wrong,, theres a few other things you need

Yes, the knock sensor threads into the head, and then there is a short (8") lead that you plug the harness into for the sensor. I would say guage, head, and cdi all have to be from a 04 or newer viper.

I am also wondering it you need a 04+ harness for the wire for the dcs sensor, or if you could just run your own wires and do some splicing into your factory harness. The harness is just a guess.

someone on here did this mod in 04/05 to a 2002 viper and had a post up with all he had to do. from what i gathered, it was a pain as you basically needed everyting for under the hood. it also would get disconeccted if you where using pipes as it was always going off.
