Rear heat exchanger install???

I have an 02 Viper and want to install a Srx rear heat Xchanger. The track is studded. Do I need protectors? And are they riveted in when you rivet the xchanger in?
And the most important question of all--when is it going to snow. I can't wait much longer

I would think so.....I installed protectors after adding an exchanger on the same sled. Piece of mind.

Yes add them and just rivet them in. Tail landings will kill the rear heat exchanger without protectors. It should be snowing someplace . . .
