need bigtime help with clutching.

on a stand my vmax 600 ST will only rev to 7500rpm shouldn't it be higher?

i have a comet clutch
8 tooth extrovert sprockets
2" 136" track
I also have a secondary i suspect is not from a vmax. number on the sheave is 8BV01 and on the cover is 8BV90. it is open type and i can see the helix and spring.

everything else is stock. I need as much help as possible.

first off, judging clutch performance on a stand is no way to judge clutch performance. there is no load on the drive system. the target shift rpm for that sled at full shift is 7650 with stock clutches(yamaha, not comet) the stock tach is not accurate enough to distinguish the 150 rpm difference. which comet clutch? i assume its the 108exp. its not uncommon to have the inner and outer sheaves of the secondary showing different cast #'s. whats important is helix angle, spring setting and spring color. gearing and belt will also weigh heavily on this equation.
