Time for a new track?

The marks are from running a studded track without rear HX protectors.

What I was trying to say was that a blown shock won't change the point at which the susp bottoms. You may get there a bit quicker with a blown gas charged shock but the susp doesn't bottom out further with a blown shock.

Now if the skid hasn't been out for service you may have other worn/broken parts that could change the point of bottoming (worn shock bushings for instance) but even with worn parts in the skid rear HX protectors more than likey would have prevented contact.

Anyhow, since you're pulling the skid to replace the track now's a good time to tighten up the skid. Do a search on BeTheViper's write up for skid service.

That Video of the track coming off is insane!! What are the odds of it hitting the camera man, ouch ouch ouch! I would say HE needed a new track for sure lol
