I just rebuilt my viper put the motor in, started it did a few hard pulls to seat the rings, now it responds well, but when I leave off the throttle it has to come back to idle before it will go and is this the TORS tripping, I did have the motor out the sled? also which plugs should I be running to help avoid another meltdown and what octane should I be running. Thanks in advance.
I think the stock plug is a BR9ES on the viper, I ran 87 last year with no issues a couple times but I prefer to run premium. There is a gas station near my house that has a premium with no ethanol, which is what I like to run when I can.

we can't tell you that, unless you tell us what engine mods were done and what your compression ratio is.

No engine mods just replaced the middle piston rings and bearings
