600 srx top speed

just a bone stock srx on glare ice. looking at buying a 98 one i want to know if it will be like my 2000 700
 
will hit something around 110 +++ i talk about a 700 not a 600 but ask harness i'm sure he did good speed with 600
 
Have seen bone stock SRX's besides clutching run 125 on radar and the SRX 600 will get right up around 117-118 on radar when perfectly setup. I wouldn't exactly expect these numbers from your sled but I have seen these values in ideal conditions with great setups.
 
The 600 SRX in the right hands will fly!! I have seen a stocker run 119 in perfect conditions a few years back. He may even have run faster that day but that was the only run I watched. This was a very well set up sled though. We run an improved stock 600 SRX in the NBSSR radar runs, best speed to date is 128 MPH in 2000 ft... WE WILL SEE 130"S THIS YEAR!!!!
 
The current world record is 108.270 in only 1000ft radar run, I believe youll likely see that record broke this coming season with somewhere around a 109-110mph, the little 600 can get it done with the right set up! ;)!

If the 600 would have had a slightly differnt case, it would really pump out more power, the pistons are very small for the amount of area in the case, the case is the same as a 700 srx. :2strokes:
 
My 99 600 srx would pull about 110-111 on plowed 2 track. It was a little slow out of the hole. My buddy's clutched Mxz 800 would get several sled lengths out of the hole, but once you hit speed he couldn't pull away.

Unlike the light and nimble kuips I'm 6'2 265 and my pal is only a wet 180.
 
Don, we are after the 110 in 1000' and I know its got it in it shes a sweet 6

mr viper, you think its just lack of primary compression ratio, holding the 600 srx back then? if so, what about just adding some "Epoxy" or weld to the inside of the cases, to increase the primary compression ratio?

This guys son is the current world record holder so listen when he says 110 is possible in 1000'!! These other guys claiming way faster speeds are full of sh-t or they are running those speeds in 2000' + for distance!!

i thought the question was about top speed? i apologize if you thought my post was 1000' ft speed. i am not here to tell lies, i could give a rip one way or the other... i dont have an ego.

I wouldn't worry, alot of people here are I heard, I read, and so and so says. Keep reading, you'll figure it out.

Just enjoy the site, take it all in stride and contribute where ever you feel you have input worth contributing.
