Hey all, I am looking for a good second sled/starter sled for my wife, I have found both a 94 vmax and a 92 exciter 2 in good shape for about the same money. I don't know anything about the older yamahas, I just bought an 09 nytro last year and so far I love the yamaha. So looking for your opinions on those sleds. Thanks a bunch...

I had 2 Exciters and 2 Vmax600's I'd take the 92 Exciter for lightweight fun any day especially, if you run the backwoods and tight trails. The Vmax's were wide, heavy and gas hogs better suited for wide open trails or lakes.

Do not buy her that v max. She will not want to ride. Fun trail sled but requires you to be aggressive at all times or you will be in the woods...
EXCITER....... good wind coverage lighter feel and all around FUN sled to ride IMHO.
find her a nice phazer they are lighter,easier to handle, great on gas, reliable, and the throttle lever wont put her thumb to sleep like the exciter will.

Buy the Exciter but let her ride the Nytro.
On the Nytro she will really enjoy herself and if you whine enough about the old Exciter she may feel sorry for you and allow you to buy another Nytro so you can keep up.
