I have just got back into sledding after not owning one since the early 80's. I puirchased a 2000 vmax 500 to start and see how much I get to use it. What kind of preventative maintenance should I do before hitting the trails this year?

Clean the carbs out, pull the skid and grease it, check the skid bearings while it's out, look for cracks in the W arm in the skid. replace your slides & check the carbides on your skis.

welcone ecs.Where abouts in Canada you from??? You'll find a big difference on how a sled now rides compared to the 80's.My last ride was a 81 SRX,went without for almost 20 years and started out with a 2001 SXR600 and worked up to a 2002 SRX. Sledding is in my blood now and am sure it will put a smile on your face.Enjoy!!!

I was just in NS last month to pickup a parts sled. That was up in the valley. Enjoy the sled!
