Hey guys so last year I was having problems with my hyfax wearing down in the usual spots after a few hundred miles, so I added some larger polaris wheels which greatly helped! However tonight as I was cleaing my sled I noticed that on the right side of the track by the hyfax there are these triangle shaped pieces of rubber that I believe are used as guides, and found out that theres about twenty of these pieces that are cut up pretty bad ugh! Has anyone seen this before? Any what do I do now Im hoping I dont have to spring for a new track. Any help would be appreciated.
 
I can try but have never done it on here before. Anyways Im talking about the little triangle nubs right next to the hyfax it appears that they act as guides for the hyfax when cornering. Well most of these rubber nubs are hacked down to nothing and Im concerned if itll be alright to ride this way?
 
If its all of them is it on one side?If so your track isnt aligned right.If its both sides and all of them something in suspension is making contact.If its just some it was probably a rock or something that got in there.Another possible thing would be a broken W arm.
 
Well on the right side of the track id say its quite a few of the rubber nubs that are broken off, and last year i replaced a a few track clips that were missing. It just baffles me that it just happened to one side of the track, and yet it didnt seem to hurt my performance when riding last year? :o|
 
I have lost alot of those rubber guides on my viper. I snapped off a transfer rod at 100mph and it went into the track and tore all the guides off one side The track was still useable I kept on using mine for a couple thousand miles and it never hurt anything!

i would check the front W arm could be broke or badlee crack on that side.like thay said track clips :o| . :brr
 
those rubber nubs are what the drivers push against. Dheck your drivers also. If you lose too many nubs, the track will start to ratchet & probably do more damage to them.
 
well last year the bolt that holds the transfer rod to the back wheel came off on the left side which is still in good shape, but ya I will check the W-arm i have a nice used strengthened one im going to put in before the snow. But honestly am i going to have to dump money into a new track or will it be ok for this year?
 
That can happen if your track is not adjusted evenly, or if you have a bent slid rail... Are you talking about the rail tracks or drive tracks?

im talking about the drive track im going to be putting in viper shocks in the rear and really dont feel like spending $300 plus on a new track if I can still run this one?
 
Sounds like track was run to loose,,,,, that will tear the drive lugs off by track ratcheting........
 
ya that makes sense my track couldve been a lil too loose from the last time I had my skid out, and im going to put a new w-arm in before something else bad happens to my track! thanks again
