Good Viper Upgrades??

Hey guys. I have a 2002 Viper that is basically stock, except a mbrp can for some extra sound. I am looking for some upgrades, besides triple pipes, to do to my sled to start it in the right direction. Any input from those who have vipers and know of mods that work! Thanks alot for all the help.
 
What type of rider are you? Groomed trail,offtrail, dragrace,etc.......?

What are you trying to improve? Handling, dragrace performance, trail performance?
 
No matter what type of riding you do I would recommend a rear heat exchanger and a torque limiter if your viper does not have either. Both will save you headaches down the road. Welcome to TY.

Hi, got a rear heat exchanger on my 02 Viper now. Installed it last fall, would be interested in your thoughts on the torque limiter and how it feels when trail riding, and benefits.
 
A torque limiter is nothing you will feel. I keeps the engine from shifting on the motor mounts when under power. The vipers are known for breaking motor mounts due to the shift. Do a search lots of info. Installed on both mine this fall. CCC
 
Here's what I've done over the years, both for performance and durability.

- rear exchanger should be one of the priorities, really helps keep the engine cool in low snow.
- yamaha torque stop and srx front left motor mount
- better track, stock one sucks for acceleration but pretty good for top end.
- revalve the shocks for your weight.
- my sled was able to pull more weight in the primary, ended up w 8dn20's
- I added a temp gauge before getting a rear heat exchanger to keep an eye on the coolant temps.
You end up with a pretty solid sled, easy on gas and very reliable, pretty fast too.

Exactly what super1c said, it just prevents the engine from moving around. my left front mount broke a bolt off, which if you do a search its a fairly common viper problem. the torque limiter limits excessive engine movement and prevents this from happening again. I can't use the SRX engine mount since I have electric start installed on my sled.
