Cannot get skid to bolt in

got the 8t drivers in, chaincase rebuilt, and drilled all the holes for a 04 144 skid under my shorty 02 viper. i took the transfer rods off the skid. now i cannot get the skid to bolt in at all. this is the first time i've installed a skid before. can someone give me advice on how to go about installing a skid the easiest way??
 
tip the sled up on its side. thats the easiest way for me to do it with out a second hand. loosen the rear axle push is as far forward as possible.
 
Are you sure your holes are drilled in the right places?I always put the front bolts in first which is easy because there is no tension on anything and then the back ones.Sometimes you'll have to pry the rear shaft around a little to get the bolts in and make sure your track is loosened all the way as this can help alot with getting everything lined up.
 
Bolt front bolts on, lift rear a little bit.(I used two five gallon pales)Put a ratchet strap on front of the skid, and other on the back. It will compress the shock perfectly and will line up the back holes. I found that to be the easiest.
 
Well

I do the front holes first. Loosten up the 14mm bolts in the transfer rods.....this allows you to move everything around. Now do the back bolts. Do the middle last.
