Cool! Always good to see perseverance pay off. I was not willing to wait on a "we might be able to get you one" and i did it much cheaper. CCC

Yes, it was included in the kit along with the relay and everything need to complete the install...except the directions!

A few things if your going to do this. Do your homework. Vipers have rub through issues in the main wiring harnesses. There are several writups on here showing how and where people rerouted their harnesses to solve the issue. If your pulling the harness you might as well fix the factories issues !! And also I've heard other people say your supposed to use a high temp loctite on the ring gear bolts to withstand the heat of the clutch. Those bolts are relatively small and will vibrate loose easily.

Looking at the parts diagrams for the vipers, don't they already have a regulator/rectifier and smoothing condenser on board. The electric starter kit comes with battery, motor, and wires/relay? If so, is there not 12vdc coming out of that reg/rec? So for a simple install, all that's needed should be a small 12v sealed battery and fuse for running a GPS/Cell phone? Could it be that simple??? I need to take a good look under the hood ![Head Bang :o| :o|](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/banghead.gif)

You are correct. you dont need the fuse box to make it work. I just built my own for peace of mind. Yamaha must have put it their for a reason. But the electrical side is not my strong point by any means. I think its thier just to prevent a errrant spike or short from the starter from frying the rest of the harness. Just a thought. CCC
Yeah mine worked just fine without the box, i just like factory looking stuff. The factory fuse block just connects inline to the factory harness, and bolts to a bracket that uses existing holes behind the battery tray.
