So last year I was having some issues with overreving which appears to be a common thing with the stock setups from what I have read on here. I have been reading on here for quite some time tonight and from what I can gather is I need to add some more weights to bring the revs down. I'm planning on doing the reed spacers this season with the silencer boring so I would like to get the machine dialed in better this season. From the dyno results I have seen these sleds appear to make peak power around 8500ish. If my memory serves me correct my sled was reving approx. 8800-8900rpm last year. I'm debating on the bender clutch but have read some posts that have discussed that a clutch kit can be made on your own for cheaper so not sure which route I will go but I am definately interested in a clutch kit. My thing I'm wondering is if a bender clutch with change the revs of the sled or will weights still be required to get the revs down. I'm getting my sleds out as soon as I get my springs on my trialer and taking them to get tuned up for the season so want to have an idea of what I will be needing so I can talk to the mechanic about what I am looking for. Anyways, if someone can give me a little insight I would appreciate it. In the mean time I will continue to search around on here.

I would just go to the tech pages and use one of turks clutch setups way cheaper, I also did the reed stopper notch mod and will be drilling my can as well. When I tore into my carbs it already had 142.5 mains which were reccomended to me by turk as well as the factory jetting is pig rich.
