Whats the difference between a 2000 sx-r's rear suspension and a 1997 sx? Does the sxr have more travel?
I am not sure about travel, but I know my SXR has nitrogen rebuildable shocks. front and rear
Yes,, the sxr is long traveled and the sx is short traveled,,, about 2" difference..

11.5" travel w rebuildable shocks vs 8" travel w oil shocks I think??
11.5 in the sxr, how much does a Viper have? My son and I run the same trails at the same speeds. I am about 80 lbs heavier though I have his suspension set on the lighter side, and mine in the middle. I to date don't know if I have ever bottomed out on a washboard trail. Maybe on a jump or two.
