srx pipes on viper

got my first yamaha 2 stroke this year. Its a 02 viper. i have a set of srx pipes and a aftermarket can coming. any ideals where to jet for them from the guys that have done this swap? I am also looking to get some fire car springs for it. would pro x springs work on it or just the f cat and IQR?

you are going to have to make your own flanges with that. cause them pipes wont just bolt on to the viper. their has to be alot of different changes made to the flanges and the belly pan of the sled.
that would be awesome if you got a rx1 seat on the sled. i got a apex seat laying around i think i am going to try and put on my viper. good luck to yea. and also try searching the sight up at the top of the home page thier is a search bar.
 
thanks. I know about the flanges. not a big deal. i'll machine up something to make them work I have the seat and set it on a few times and I know where it needs to and it looks good untill you get to the tunnle the rear of the sled sits to low.
 
lol yea i no frican vipers are that way. my brother put a prox skid in his and some different springs up front and boy o boy does that thing look jacked. its made to go over bump and do wheelies and jumps. nothing else though lol.
 
P.M. WNYViper he has done the SRX pipes mod to his Viper and should be able to answer your questions for you.
 
so I decided not to go with srx pipes and just going to try and find some used triples. if i jack the bars polaris rear skid and better springs would this make it into a ok bump sled . I have a clutch kit and 1.250 track already. its that or im selling the sled for a pro xr or rev. I have never riden this sled just a few passes after i cleaned the carbs in my yard. just want a fun sled to ride
 
well the sled is not going to be a mogal masher but pretty god damn near it. i mean the chassis and motor are frican bullet proof but they ride like butt compared to alot of sleds. risers different front springs and rear skid and some pipes you will have a sweet sled. it all depends on the rider.

the viper after all that suspension changes and handlebar changes, is still going to work for $hit as a "bump" sled, as well as a pro-xr. the rev is your best choice as a "bump" sled. i own a viper, srx, and rev, and the rev hands down w/outride either yamaha in an bumpy situation. the revs are a lot lighter and you can toss them around easier in the powder and they take bumps way better, not to mention the "forward rider" positioning. trust me, it would be better for your pocket book and time, to just buy a rev, than to try and make a triple cylindered yamaha a "bump" sled.
 
i dont like to walk, those revs will be ok until you shut em off one time and cant start it back up cause theres no compression left, most of my buddys that got em end up rebuilding them alot. and thats how it usually goes, no warning signs, just wont start back up one time. not that i would be tryind to get the whole yami and skido war goin or anything. the good thing i liked about the revs ive rode was that they launch flat automatically when you are jumping. i loved my srx with all long travel viper ohlins in it. and im planning on my viper being the same way soon, maybee better cause they are a little more flat footed in the corners to begin with. the srx was a good ditch banger though, but was stiff as hell if you werent beating on it, the harder you rode, the better it handled.
