Inner and outer tie rods

Hey guys I looked in the tech section but didn't really find what I wanted to hear.. I replaced the inner and outer tie rods along with the main steering one that goes into the bracket where the inners go. My problem is I wasn't thinking and threw the other ones away before I could look at how far, etc. I need to thread them in. I have been trying all day but just cant seem to have the skis straight and bars straight...it is very frustrating...I also would appreciate it If I could get some pics of the splined part and where I should have it.

since you didnt mention what sled, i will assume by your name its a viper. on the tie rods, the set length would be about 20 3/8" center to center, with equal amount of threads into the tie rod itself. the pinched part of the tie rod(where you can get a wrench on it) goes towards the shock. as for the steering link, with the skis straight, the relay arm should be in line with the tie rods, before attaching the the steering tie rod.
 
Yes ,, set rods up loose,, adjust bars and skies up to sight on ,,adjust from there... things may be more out of wack then known,, should be reference mark on shaft and arm,, but.. not sure what sled,,,.

So your saying 20 3/8" from center of hole to other hole? And the inner, outers should each have about the same amount threaded in?

01 srx would be different measurements, but the same principal. the number i gave you was a nuetral setting that gets you close for the initial install, same principals apply. dont have those numbers at hand, but for a 98, about 19 7/8". yes, center to center and yes equal amounts threaded in. its easier to pre-set to the apprx length prior to the install.
 
Ok I will try that in the a.m.! thanks for the info. One more thing, does having my skid out and the back end about 4 feet in the air change things? all the weight is pretty much on the front!
