I have an 01 sx700r i need a new stator for. What other years and models will interchange? No elec start and dual headlight setup. can get one out of a 99 Vmax 700 will it work? Thanks in advance.
You must use a stator from a dual headlite sled! The stator from the older single headlite SXs is a different size,output, ect and uses a different flywheel as well. These stators are actually not that expensive from the online Yamaha OEM parts suppliers.
