Hi guys, I'm not all that intelligent when it comes to things like this but I'm just wondering if a 1 1/4 inch studded hacksaw track will work on my sled a 2002 yamaha vmax 700, wondering about clearance issues or anything else that might cause problems, I do know they come standard with a 1 inch track but would like to put a 1 1/4 inch studded hacksaw on it, any input would be appreciated,

Thanks.

Your gonna need 8 tooth drivers for clearance on a studded 1.25 but there is no such thing as a 1.25 hacksaw. they are all 1".

you need 8 tooth drivres if your gonna run inch and a 1/4 track with studs. 8 tooth drivers are what drives your track. Although some 1-1/4 tracks can be used without changing the drivers...such as the connected cone tracks, I have one on my 97 sx. its a tight fit ,but i have had no issues with it!

Best track for the buck that I found to run on the sx was the a skidoo's takeoff with the 7/8" lug. The doo track hooked up better ran quieter and weighed hella less than the oem Yamagohama...

yea i have a 97 vmax 700 and it has a 1.25 ripsaw on it and it hooks up great stands right up but not just because of the track also has bender pipes vforce 3 reeds and bender clutch kit but the prob i had with the 1.25 is that it wouldnt fit with the heat exchanger protectors so i had to take them off then it fit

A 1.25 will fit with no problems! It will rub pretty good on the front heat exchanger protector, so remove them. Studding that track could cause you some grief, as they may contact the exchanger. If studding is required, then the smaller drivers are needed
