Put on 24 km's today, but the ditches were rough from the blowing snow earlier in the week.I am going up and down throttle wise for a break-in.Couple of times I pinned it a bit.but not at full throttle.
Got home and checked plugs and wash and all are great. My compression #'s aren't great yet.Got 120-118-118.Why is it taking so long to even try going up.After 50 km's on my 600 the compression was in the 135-140 range. How long does it take ,is the SRX motor different in this procedure then other motors?

I'd do some wot pulls for 3-5 sec at a time next time you have her out, You have 24 k on her without opening her up now and no leaks noises etc. Time to start putting the hammer down abit in short bursts. Searching some old threads some guys are putting 7-10 hours on before there numbers are coming up.
Simple. The rings haven't quite set in yet. Patience. lol

sorry about the wrong forum..but there are not to many places to do some wot pins..to bumpy..
If you're using synthetic take it out. Use some conventional oil for about 20 minutes.

Just throwing this out there..... would the P/Vs in different states of cleanness affect all of the rings from seating at approximately the same time frame ?
powervalves would do no such thing. If you're not using a synthetic then your rings should be seated by now. Unless you're riding it like a little girl. Get out there and get that motor working. You only need short wide open throttle blasts.

Ya....I know NOTHING about P/Vs. Just thought it might be a back pressure thing going on, that is hindering them to seat.
