338 gpx ?

How many hp was a 74 338 gpx? Did the gyt pipes add much to them or are the stock pipes good? Thanks Rich.
 
They gyt pipes are awsome on a stock 338 , not so much for the stock 433. the 338 aprox 45hp. The 74 433 about 60
 
I have a stock 75 Sno Jet SST 340 F/A,. which is the same motor as the GPX more or less. The only difference (that I'm aware of) is the carbs, clutch, and exhaust. My sled is 55 hp stock. I believe the 433 is 65 hp. That comes from the info sheet I have on the Sno Jet.
I am not sure about the difference on the pipes, but the GYT kit was more then just pipes. I think it came with pots, pistons, heads, carbs and pipes.
 
Thanks for the info. Im looking at one right now and it has the round slide carbs on it. It should be jetted like the sno jet correct? Also been seeing some gyt pipes for sale, are the pipes the same for the 338 as the 433? Thanks again, Rich.
 
I am not sure if the 338 and 433 pipes are the same. I would say no because of the obvious that the 433 is a bigger engine, but I have no idea.
